200 The Tendulkar's Way
Just as the 30000 + at The Captain Roop Singh Stadium were expecting that the MASTER BLASTER will get a huge score on the board. They must have not thought how big it would have been.
For the 1st time in the history of ODI cricket some one has scored 200 runs (not out) in 147 delivery's in a matter of 3.5 hours. Many people had that opportunity but The Gods only wanted that to happen from the Blade of SACHIN RAMESH TENDULKAR.
The way he played was Mesmerizing. He played in such a way that every Indian was proud of him, he played such, that even the South Africans were proud of him...he played in such a way that the winners were proud of him.....he played in such a way that even the team which lost was of him .....He played in such a way that even The Game Of Cricket was proud of him
I was unlucky that I could not see Sir Don Bradman play.....but very greatful to God that I could see this MAGICIAN play. For me he is The GOD of Indian Cricket.
Different people have different thing to say about this great Indian.....Lets see what some of them said
Don Bradman: I saw him playing on television and was struck by his technique, so I asked my wife to come look at him. Now I never saw myself play, but I feel that this player is playing much the same as I used to play, and she looked at him on Television and said yes, there is a similarity between the two...hi compactness, technique, stroke production... it all seemed to gel!
Please commit all your Sins when Sachin is Batting, because god is busy watching him and your Sins will go UNNOTICED - - - A reporter in Australian News Paper
I have seen GOD he bats at No. 4 for India in test Cricket - Matt Hayden
Tony Greig “This little man is the nearest thing to Bradman there’s ever been.” - Coco Cola Cup (Sharjah - 1998)
Ian Chappell - ” I will always remember that Chennai test match for a lot of good things but I will never forget for as long as I live the moment when Shane Warne came around the wicket for the first time in his entire career and Tendulkar deposited him over the mid wicket boundary for a huge six.” - (chennai - 1998)
Warne: You have to decide for yourself whether you're bowling well or not. He's going to hit you for fours and sixes anyway.
Andy Flower:
"There are 2 kind of batsmen in the world. One Sachin Tendulkar. Two all the others."
BBC Sports, on Sachin Tendulkar
When he goes out to bat, people switch on their television sets and switch off their lives.
Navjot Singh Sidhu
"India me aap Prime Minister ko ek Baar Katghare me khada kar sakte hain..Par Sachin
Tendulkar par Ungli nahi utha Sakte.."
Anil Kumble
"I am fortunate that I've to bowl at him only in the nets!"
Mark Taylor
"We did not lose to a team called India...we lost to a man called Sachin" -Mark Taylor, during the test match in Chennai (1997)
On a train from Shimla to Delhi, there was a halt in one of the stations. The train stopped by for few minutes as usual. Sachin was nearing century, batting on 98. The passengers, railway officials, everyone on the train waited for Sachin to complete the century. This Genius can stop time in India!!

“Even my father’s name is Sachin Tendulkar.”
- Tendulkar’s daughter, Sara, tells her class her father’s name after the teacher informs them of a restaurant of the same name in Mumbai

CRICKET JAI AMBEY IS BACK
Cricket Jai Ambey Is Back
Last year Cricket Jai Ambey was in a total disarray. 1st time in the history of game Cricket Jai Ambey we were knocked out at our first game of The Ghatla cup..I will never forget that BLACK DAY it was the 13th of April 2009. I knew some of my team mates were SHAMELESS, and were not fit to play in the team, but I had no option but to play with a SOMEWHAT HANDICAP team…After we suffered a embarrassing defeat from the minnows Those were the guys who just had that stupid laugh and walked away…I was left stranded at the ground and broke down. It was a disaster. The effects were enormous. I wanted to give up captaincy that time, but later realized that there is no point in running away from the situation, people will forget but what about my conscious. It will eat me like a termite from within.
Yes its said “It is just a game, someone has to win someone has to loose” But for me WINNING MATTERS THE MOST….Fingers were pointed at me and my few good hardworking mates, that What can you do and make a Magic out of Mockery which was created and restore of the pride of Red Devils?. I had to still answer the critics.
Mayu our senior team mate told me that he has convinced a few good players to play for us. I said…Hmmm….but I knew that I was not in touch with the game for a good 5 months…When I met the members I said……Abe ye log……Pagal hai kya?....Mayu said…This is our only chance and these are the only guys willing to play….he said believe me…..these guys will prove themselves…….I said OK they practice regularly…..but NO PRACTICE IS AS GOOD AS COMPARED TO MATCH PRACTICE. But we went along with the plan and the big day came…It was Match Day 1, the 14th of November 2009.
I was nervous for the first time. My partner at the other end was a youngster and was just in his 2nd game for our team. I was continuously talking to him in the initial over but when I heard the sweet sound of willow when he and I faced the first ball we knew we were in the groom. We smashed 25 in first 2 overs, with he doing a bulk of the scoring and taking pressure of me, I had to just nudge the ball and score single and look for a odd boundry. When he got out I smashed a huge one out of the ground for 6 and then departed at the last ball of the innings…we scored a mammoth 42 in 5 overs. We won that game by 20 runs….It rained that evening and the ground was totaled
Match day 2,15th of November 2009 was termed as THE Ketan Keni SHOW...It was foremost the best day of my cricketing career...
We got up with a spur in our body, only to realize that the rest of the matches will be played with rubber ball….but we still gave ourselves a chance. We comprehensively won the quarter finals and the semi…chasing a nominal totals. But the great part was that we did not lose a single wicket in 2 games……Yes we chased down targets with NO LOSS and that too with an over to spare….I was at my best doing 95 % of the scoring and between over my partner said….Abe muje kya show ke liye laya hai?... I had smashed 6 in every game till then.
Now the big one against OMKAR sports club, the winners of Ghatla Cup 2009….No one gave us a chance to win more than one match and we were in the FINALE. We had gained enormous support and confidence of the spectators. I had a talk with my Dad who comes to watch my every game even when he is at work and keeps a tab of every single mistake which I make. He Missed the Final…..We chose to field first and GUESS what our supporters had arranged a BAND BAJA for us.
The first ball of the final went out of the ground for a 6…We knew were looking at a 20+ target in a 2 over final and it was getting dark. It’s a jinx that a team batting second has NEVER won a final in that tournament….But history was about to change. Omkar sports Club ended up scoring 23 in their allotted 2 overs and I was feeling a pinch as I was fielding right in front of their supporters and one of them said, “Ghatla Cup yaad hai, kaise haraya tha, waise he aaj hoga” and they laughed…I went to bat with a much experience campaigner. I was facing the first ball…The over went like this….
Ball No. | Runs Scored |
1 | 1 declare |
2 | 4 |
3 | 6 |
4 | 1Wd, 2 |
5 | 1Wd, 0 |
6 | 4 |
19 taken of the 1st over by me alone…..and 3 consecutive Wides in the other over and 3 runs scored in the next 3 balls…..I hit the WINNING RUNS…..JAI AMBEY SPORTS CLUB had STUNNED the CROUD and SILENCED its CRITICS….I received the Man Of the Match in the Finals and The Best Batsman of the Tournament…My team mate Aniket (ANDY) received the best bowler…and guys that kid is just 16…Overall a best day….We partied hard till early Morning on the next day….We are in a strong position now, with 2 players who left the club coming back…..Our bench strength has Improved…… Matta, god did give me the courage and belief to stick to the club and believing in MYSELF…..Now I can say……CRICKET JAI AMBEY IS BACK.

Wishing a very happy wala Birthday
Tyson….Tyson...Taase….Baby…God knows there are how many names by which we call him…..He is one person in the family who has Nothing to worry of...KHAO PIYO SHOR MACHAO..AUR SO JAAO...Yes that his routine, and what a Life he has Compared to me…Wish I could have the same life my dear ferocious K9...
Yes I am talking about none other than the one who is in the above PIC...Tysu will be 3 years old and still growing. He came into our life like Miracle. No one expected that my DAD will bring a pet that to a GERMAN SHEPHARD. One of the most ferocious, aggressive, and nasty and the most dangerous breeds of canines that to against the HOME MINISTER…I mean to say my Mom.
I and my sister were just chatting at around
Some people must have thought that why did you keep his name Tyson..!! Well there is a big MYSTRY behind it. Tyson was the youngest and weakest among the pups. My DAD picked him up as no other person was ready to groom a weakling. He was about to be left alone to die. When we brought him he used to get hurt even by slightest of mishap…He was plagued by diseases. Rickets, Jaundice, Loose motions, etc. He was taken to the vet every day and was constantly injected with Antibiotics and health boosters. The Vet told that if he survives the initial stages he will live or else…
But this fighter showed an unexpected development and resilience so much so that even the VET was surprised. He fought hard and did not give up and that’s when I kept his name TY A boxer, fighter and also because of his aggressive nature... This BEAST is not scared of any one, apart from my mom, my dad me n my sister coz “Uske PET KA SAWAL HAI NA”, Mom gives him food, Sister plays with him, DAD takes him to CHILLAX and ME??...PATA nahi…Shayad all of the above.
We love you a lot Tyson …an wishing a very happy wala Birthday

You are remembered to Hit the target not aiming at it..!!
Years have passed by and we as a team has failed to lift the CUP of our life...Questions have been asked by our well wishers..!! Taunts, Abuse, People have turned their back on us, even friends and small kids make a joke of that club which most of the youngsters growing dream to play of...established in 2001 we were the most Fearless, aggressive, tactful, and shrude cricket playing team in Ghatla (Chember)..We won many cups, and tournaments coz of Never die Spirit...But after the season of 2003-04, our downfall started so much so that we have still not recovered from it...Our Captain who thought me to play left the club along with a hard hitting batsman to join the team whom we Lost to in the previous two seasons..Last year our Wicketkeeper left the club...The player our close friends whom we groomed and made him an eligible keeper one of the best in the town, player in
why...?
What was wrong..??
Loosing 2 times to the same opponent because o a lazy few in the side hurt..??
Did winning the Ghatla Cup matter the most. rather than friendship..??
We have been defeated by that club in every field. No Youth ready to play with us or for us..!!!
The richest club in Ghatla who started to distribute Cricket gear free of cost to players is now gasping to stay in the top flight. Almost relegated from top 32 last year. The side whose ambition was to see whom hey will face in the quarter finals, semi finals and finals will now have to look who is the opponent in the preliminary rounds...
This year too our team condition is the same...We are falling short of players, Sponsors, and the most important Supporters..?? There were tears in some of my colleague’s eyes...I as the CAPTAIN of JAI AMBEY SPORTS CLUB...has to come up with something...We have heard a lot and God knows how much depressed were we… Performance has dipped year after year...
I shall stand tall and face the consequences and the taunts which my boys have to face. only for this year...Next year we WILL RETURN WITH A BANG...GHATLA CUP is round the corner…So we shall give a mere 20% chance to lift the cup..
Next year we shall be the Leading frontiers and runners for the Ghatla cup and any other tournament in the area...
Jai Bhawani...Jai Ambey.
